FAQs

I am a new Bikram Yoga student. How should I prepare, what should I bring?
No prior experience is required. Come with an empty stomach (ideally no food three or more hours before class), bring a full size bath towel, hydrate before class and be prepared to sweat.
Bring water or purchase a bottle from us. Mats must be used and we supply mats at no charge, however you may bring your own or purchase one from us.
Women should wear light stretch clothing or shorts with an athletic top. Men should wear loose fitting shorts with T shirts optional.
Please, no perfumes or scents.
Do I need a reservation?
No, all levels practice together. Just show up!
What is the purpose of using heat?
To increase your flexibility, to allow you to go deeper without injury, as well as to flush out toxins. It also promotes circulation and relaxation.
How often should I practice?
In order to be effective, yoga must be practiced daily or on a regular basis with no long lapses of time in between lessons. A minimum commitment of 10 classes in 30 days is recommended  if the student is to derive the maximum benefit from this yoga program. Once you start practicing regularly you will find that you want to do yoga—not only is it fun, but it works! The time and effort you put in will return to you tenfold.
Why do you expire class series/cards?
The purpose of class card packages is to provide a price break to students in return for paying in advance, otherwise the drop in fee of $15.00 applies. We do not allow class card extensions or grant transfers or exchanges. Series / cards may not be shared.
How will I know if I have expired or am due?
If you have any question as to your status, please check the Due / Past Due list at the front desk when you register for each class. We have Yoga software so for the most part this should be available at our reception desk as well.
How do you keep students informed as to any class changes. workshops, special events etc.?
Beside our web site and on site notices we use email. If you have an email address and have not received any communication from us in any two-three week period, it probably means we do not have your email address or what we have is incorrect. You may update this by emailing me or through our email sign up sheet at the center.
We are the only users of our email list. To remove, simply indicate "Remove" in the subject area.

PLEASE Note: The 7:00 am silent classes on Sat and Sun are NOT recommended for new students,
they are not dialogue classes. You should take a minimum of 10 dialogue classes first.
